Each class is tailored to suit complete beginners through to the more advanced Yogi. In between chilling in the beautiful grounds, you will also head out on a guided wild swim with wild swim coach Les (aka the Dales Dipper). Les is there to offer support and to ensure you have the tools to deal with the cold water. A morning will be spent with Nordic walking guide Jo, and discovering the local landscapes whilst utilising & deveolping the technique of walking with poles, this area of the Dales is home to Cautley Spout, England’s highest above ground waterfall. Delicious homecooked vegetarian meals will be provided throughout.

Accommodation

St Marks Stays is a beautiful country house, located on the outskirts of Sedbergh and set remotely with lots of lovely garden space. St Marks Stays comfortably sleeps 12 people in twin and double (used for single occupancy) rooms, some of which are en suite. It boasts gorgeous living spaces and has some perfect areas outside for sitting in hammocks or chilling around a firepit. This is a creative venue, where the owners also live on site. They have made their home a calming space perfect for a weekend in the Yorkshire Dales.. There is a large living room, dining room, WiFi and onsite parking.

To get to St Marks, you are approx 15 minutes from the M6 or 1 hour from the A1.

Activities

YOGA whether you practise yoga regularly or will be a beginner, our Yoga instructors tailor the classes to suit all levels and plan them around the activities you will be doing so they compliment each other. Mats can be provided or if you have your own, please bring one along.

WILD SWIMMING is a very popular activity and very important it is done in a safe environment. Our guided sessions are led by Les Peebles a.k.a The Dales Dipper, he knows all the best spots in the Dales and will be on hand to guide you through the safety aspects and give you the techniques to deal with cold water. We recommend to do the dips/swim in a swimsuit to get the full benefit. If you have a health condition, please contact your GP in advance.

NORDIC WALKING a guided adventure which enables you to learn the technique of hiking with poles. The benefits of Nordic walking improve posture and help you to get the most out of this upbeat hike. There will be a mix of terrains with no technical (such as scrambling) aspects but there will be a mix of ascents & descents along with soft & hard terrain.

SAUNA & ICE BATH there will be a session allocated to use the onsite sauna and regulated ice baths. This session is non guided with the support of each other. 2 - 4 hot & cold cycles are recommended. If you have a health condition, please contact your GP in advance.
